I bought these to replace an old pair of Next blue suede derby shoes that had worn out. These shoes look identical on the website and have clearly replaced my old ones in Next's range.
My old shoes have worn out because they're so comfortable I wore them all the time. These ones are so stiff and rigid that they stripped the skin off my ankle in the first five minutes. It took me three days to be able to wear any type of shoe again, and I haven't dared to wear them since.
No idea why Next chose to stop selling the old ones and start selling these monsters - they must be cheaper to make or something.
Avoid - or at least make sure you take plenty of elastoplasts with you when you wear them.R
