I read the reviews suggesting this cardigan was too cropped, but since I wanted a cropped cardigan to go with a couple of dresses I hoped this would work for me. Nope. What people mean when they say this cardigan is too short is that even for a 'cropped cardigan' it's too short! Something about the length of it actually looked really frumpy and unflattering. I'm not quite sure how - maybe because it looks like it should hit at the natural waist but it hits well above the natural waist, it created an optical illusion whereby my my bust/arms/shoulders looked too bulky and I seemed top-heavy and unfeminine. For reference I'm 5'9", UK/AU size 12, hourglass shape. I bought the Pointelle Cotton Cardigan at the same time, which is also cropped, but it was cropped in the right place and very flattering. I should also didn't like how yellow the main colour was. It was a very yellowish cream, which looked a bit cheap. Such a shame, because the embroidery is so pretty, but I didn't feel pretty in this cardigan. Originally posted on www.boden.co.uk
